How it works
The museum is a launchpad on top of pump.fun. Every coin you create here is a real pump.fun coin: same program, same bonding curve, same graduation to PumpSwap. It is visible and tradable on pump.fun and every Solana wallet, explorer and terminal. On top of that, each coin becomes a museum exhibit with a story, a hall, a culture score, votes, battles and a thread.
Launching a coin
Open Create coin, fill in the name (up to 32 characters), the ticker (up to 13), a description and an image. Under Show more options you can add X, Telegram and a website. The museum card adds a hall and the meme's origin, which appear on the exhibit plaque.
When you press Create coin:
- You sign a free message once so the server knows the wallet is yours.
- The image and a pump.fun-style metadata file are uploaded to IPFS.
- You choose an optional first buy, in SOL or in tokens. Buying a little at launch makes it harder for snipers to take the cheapest tokens.
- Your wallet signs one transaction with pump.fun's
create_v2instruction (plus the buy, if any). The coin is a Token-2022 mint with 6 decimals and a 1,000,000,000 supply. - As soon as it confirms, the exhibit opens on its own page.
Creating costs about 0.02 SOL in rent and network fees, plus your first buy. Name, ticker, image and description live on-chain and on IPFS, so they cannot be changed later.
Mayhem mode launches the coin in pump.fun's Mayhem mode. Holder rewards sends the creator fee of every trade to the coin's holders instead of the creator. Both are pump.fun features, fixed at creation; holder rewards is only offered while pump.fun has it switched on.
Trading
New coins trade on a bonding curve: price rises as people buy and falls as they sell, with no order book. The museum uses pump.fun's v3 trade instructions: buys spend an exact amount of SOL, sells sell an exact amount of tokens. When the last tokens on the curve are bought, the coin graduates: pump.fun moves the liquidity into a PumpSwap pool and trading continues there. The trade panel switches to the pool automatically.
Slippage is the worst price move you accept before the trade fails instead of filling; 5% is the default. The priority fee is a small tip that helps your transaction land when Solana is busy. Both are under the gear icon and are remembered in your browser.
Fees
pump.fun charges its protocol fee and the creator fee on every trade, at the rates of its current fee schedule (they depend on market cap). Solana charges a small network fee and rent for new token accounts. The museum adds no fee of its own.
Creator rewards
The creator fee from trades on your coins builds up on pump.fun, first on the bonding curve and after graduation in the PumpSwap pool. Open your profile, choose Creator rewards and press Claim: one transaction sweeps the fees into your creator vault and pays them out to your wallet. Holder-rewards coins pay their holders instead, so they have nothing to claim.
Culture score
A number from 0 to 100 on every exhibit, recalculated every few seconds:
- 25% culture votes (one per wallet per exhibit)
- 22% trading volume
- 18% holders
- 15% bonding-curve progress
- 10% battle wins
- 10% replies in the thread
Each part grows quickly at first and then flattens, so no single number can be farmed to the top. Grades: New arrival (0 to 19), Exhibit (20+), Collection (40+), Masterpiece (60+), Legend (80+).
King of the Hill
The King of the Hill is the coin with the highest market cap that is still on its bonding curve and at least 25% of the way to graduation. It is featured at the top of the board. Each coin page shows how close it is to taking the crown.
Battles
Three battles run at all times. Each pairs two exhibits for 24 hours; every signed-in wallet gets one vote per battle. The winner earns a battle win, which counts toward its culture score. A tie goes to the exhibit with the higher culture score. When a battle ends, a new one opens.
Curated exhibits
Any coin that already exists on pump.fun can be added to the museum under Create coin → Existing pump.fun coin. The museum checks the coin on-chain, reads its metadata and starts indexing its trades. Curated exhibits are labelled as such and credit the curator.
Wallets and sign-in
Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and any Wallet Standard wallet work. On a phone, open the site inside your wallet app's browser. To post, vote or launch you sign a short message; it is free, sends no transaction and keeps you signed in for 30 days. Your username and bio are optional.
Safety
- The museum never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Nobody from the team will DM you first.
- Every transaction is built for the exact action you chose and is shown in your wallet before you sign.
- Memecoins are extremely volatile and most go to zero. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
- A coin being in the museum is not an endorsement. Check the holder distribution and the dev's wallet before buying.

FAQ
Is my coin on pump.fun? Yes. It is created by the pump.fun program and shows up there like any other coin.
Why did my trade fail? Usually the price moved past your slippage, or the wallet lacked SOL for the amount plus fees. The error under the trade button says which.
My launch confirmed but the page says it is still being hung. The exhibit is filed a few seconds after confirmation. If your wallet shows the transaction failed, nothing was created and no SOL beyond the network fee was spent.
Can I edit my coin? The name, ticker, image and description cannot change. You can still post in its thread and share it.
Where do I follow MEMEUM? On X: @memeumfun. New halls, battles and featured exhibits are announced there.
